Day 31 - 8/12/20 - Better Weather

I’m not trying to be
divisive
that’s not the goal or
mission I’m on
there are plenty of folks
doin the job
to provoke
I mostly just think it’s
kind of gross

the whole history of this country
hidden from view
as best they can
so all I am saying
are the things that I’ve learned
left out of all the pages I’ve turned

we can’t be afraid to look
how will we grow and be better?
we can’t be afraid to look
we can create our own better weather

It’s all around us
the problem at hand
slowly drowned us
i think that’s their plan
if we don’t start, looking
collectively at
the foundation laid down
so far back
it’ll never be clear
won’t come together
I fear
