Day 40 - 8/21/20 - I wish you wouldn't call it bullshit
Tonight I opted for so much needed family time rather than digging into writing another multi-track reggae song. This is an instrumental improvisation on my parent’s piano. This is the first and only take of this song.
I like to joke that my piano/instrumental songs that I improvise are “bullshit” and just throwaway pieces equivalent to just throwing paint on a canvas with no particular intention. My Mother disagrees. She’s not wrong.. :)
This is a Marigold that I grew from a seed that I got from my dear friend Ashley (she’s the namesake for “Moonlight Medicine”, check it out on Spotify, check her medicinal herb shop out on Instagram") that I gave to my Mother. I grew two, mine died, this one lives. I have a lot to learn.
