I remember
the first time
that I felt it all
melt down
Panic
came from within
in it’s most familiar place

On my chest
I found bluebirds
they were singing
mirrored sky in the great time
that I knew
And the songs they were singing
didn’t last

I have a sticker
sits on my wall
says “I love Democracy”
the fuck do I know?
the fuck do they know?
the fuck do we even have to show?
It’s a game now
we just play how
we hate on our fellow man
I don’t think
we will ever see true peace
All are brought down to
our knees
equalizer
quick to find more
differences
Oh I think we’ll all die
before it ends

I don’t mean
to bring us down
more than we need
and maybe it will work?
maybe we will find
what we’ve been searching for?
Guess I’m just afraid
